System finished...for now...
Well,I finished a major overhaul of the stereo, it isnt perfect, but, it is enough for what I want. all the boxes I built, and set up the lighting. I prefer to do all the installs of this stuff rather than trust a shop. so, this is the gear:
*Kenwood KDC-X792 Receiver *Sony xm-2002GTR 1200w Amp *Jensen 300w amp *Stinger 2 Farad Capacitor *4 Gauge wiring w/ distrubution block *Infinity Referance 6.5" Components(2) *Clarion 6"x9" 3-way speakers(2) *Tangband W5-1138SM 5" subs(2) *MTX Thunder 8k Titanium 12" subs(2) the large amp runs the 12s, the small amp runs the tang bands. the tang bands are mounted under the seats and have a 30hz-300hz crossover inside the boxes I built. the amp is underneath the passenger seat and set to cut off at 200hz...I am still tweaking everything, so the crossover may go lower. the larger mtx subs are cut off at 80hz on the deck and amp...again, I may go lower..I just got everything finished, have not had time to tweak stuff. I have not used any disc's to tune the system yet, just posting pics of the finished install. onto pictures! The deck and custom mounting plate: Tweeter location: Tangband subs under the seats: The subs in the custom box: The subs at night: opinions/flames are welcome!

That's a pretty sweet setup! What did you use for the lighting in the trunk? I want to get some lighting on my subs in my hatch but i'm not sure what to use or where to get it. I haven't even decided what color really.... But yours looks really nice man!

yes and no...lol. i shortened the handles, so now you have to grab each side and move the box as well. yes, the seats move, but, its a PITA.
EDIT: It was so worth a little less convinence for the amount of low to mid bass i gained up front. i cut the infinities off at 80hz and let the tangbands handle the drum kicks the 12"s dont pick up. it works well because I listen to all types of music, and alot of 50s-70s music and classical music lacks low bass...when i am listening to pop, rap, rock, techno, metal, ect, the 12s work fine, but some music the sound system was falling flat on its face because the infinity drivers didnt have the low to mid kick i wanted.
