MVSA and I are good for 15-16-17, Thursdays are a bit hard during the day, but a night meetup wold be great! Also, I have to remember to show everyone some of my favorite runs in the back-roads of Mill-Valley. There is one that's really short but a lot of fun, there's one perfect corner that is kind of like the corkscrew at Laguna Seca, but less steep.

Hi all,

I'm interested in attending this. I have a Yaris, and I live about 4 hours away, but more than willing to make the drive. Anyway, I just wanted to submit a reply so I can get the email updates on the thread. Hopefully I can make whatever day you all choose.

Short info about myself so I don't seem like a completely random stanger: My name is Lisa, I currently go to school as well(which it seems like many here do) I work full time, and I have owned my current Yaris for 2 years. I had another Yaris before this one for 2 years as well, but we (my boyfriend and I) decided to trade the 2 door hatch for the 4 door hatch, which made life much easier. I loved my original Yaris and I love the one I'm in now. I love putting miles on it as well, we traded the first one with 50K miles, and our current Yaris is at 60k. My Yaris has not been modified in anyway, so it is the same as the day I bought it. Ok that wasn't that short but hey, I'm kinda excited. This looks like fun to attend!

Also, this isn't by invitation only is it? New people are allowed to come as well?

Thanks,
Lisa

Hey, Lisa, thanks for posting! First of all, welcome to the forum

We'd love for you to come!!!

That's OK if your car hasn't been modified, it's still fun to hang with fellow Yaris owners. The more Yarii, the merrier!!

Looks like we don't have a set date yet but it should be sometime mid-April so keep checking the thread and don't hesitate to post and bump up the thread in case we all fall asleep and forget lol.

What dates work for you in the April 14-17 range?

Any of those days will work. If we pick Thursday though, it will have to be after 7 pm.

Who's down to let me test fit their pre09 headlights to my replica RS front bumper? Not going to Toyotafest really frees up the stress to buy headlights and paint everything while finals are creeping up.

I would do it, except i don't have a pre-09. I've always been interested in seeing that!

Beautiful fitment and nice modified steelies too LOL

Anyway, the real reason for this post is to give more details on some of the roads we will be driving...

Anyone who is familiar with MV and the soutern areas of Marin in general will know that once you get off the main roads, everything else is curvy and montainy, so there are a lot to choose from!

the main one i like is called Tennessee valley road, it's a fun road, but it only lasts about 2 or 3 miles so it's verrrrrry tiny compared to our normal calaveras blast, so I'm sure we will want to do a couple of roads

Tennessee Valley Road:
http://goo.gl/maps/JSa5

Then there is the 1 highway just above that which is WAYYYYYY longer than calaveras so I'm sure we won't want to do the whole thing. It splits in 3, 1 road goes to Muir woods, the other to Mt.Tam and the other to Stinson Beach. Hopefully they won't be jammed with tourists, but usually i like the one to Mt.Tam because it has a lot of banked turns and not too much cliff side driving.

I usually just meander around all the backroads at high speeds until i get bored or lost, then I gps my way back
