I think this may have been mentioned before but I wanted to share that I bought 1 of the allergen-rated central air-style filters for $15 and cut it up using tin snips to create 8 cabin filters. I just used duct tape to finish off the non-paperboard edges.

8 great filters for $15 and 20 minutes of work.

Ok I checked it and it does not have a filter. Ripoff! I am going to order one online and install it. Seems silly to me that they could not spring for a cheap piece of paper.

Look in the manual, but I think it says that it needs one for the AC to run properly. I was skimming through it and I thnk thatas what it said. Mine did not have one in it so I went to Advance Auto Parts and bought one. There is a part number on here for a Purolator Filter but it doenst fit correctly without cutting some.

I bought the Purolator #C38188 cabin A/C filter from Advance Auto Parts and it fits right out of the box with absolutely no need to trim it!

I used the Bosch because I think Bosch products are better quality. I paid $15 at Autozone, they crossed that Purolator # without an issue. Good luck

That's what I did and it works great! I can't believe how much junk is in there already.

HI Guys,

Just to let you know that my Yaris purchased in New Zealand also does NOT COME with the cabin filter. My Yaris has the 1NZFE (1.5L motor) 4 door hatch.

So it must be a world wide choice that Toyota decided to exclude the filter on even cars with the steering made on the opposite side.
