Stone Chips

I was wondering will some stone chips cause Yaris to rust easily, or it is not that big of a problem.

Also how effective is the touch-up paint pen on this rusting issue?

if the chips are on say your front or rear bumper it won't rust because they are plastic, and even if you get stone chips on your metal it won't rust because it is such a new car. But the touch up pen will fore sure prolong your car. Take a look at the clear shield product, it covers stone chip prone areas with a see through layer film, pretty cool stuff.

+1 on the clear film. Had mine installed immediately after getting the Yaris. It's been over 2 years now and I only have 3 small chips, not counting the chip on the driver's door that the neighbor's lawnmower gave me.

On shure way to minimize stone chips is to not follow trucks too closely on the hiway.
