Mud Guard: To paint or not to paint
I have decided to get mud guards for my Yaris. But I don't know which is nicer, to paint or not to paint the mud guards. What do you think?

painted looks good. to me it makes the car look lower and wider for whatever reason.

If they are plastic, I suggest not to paint them. Afterall, mud may soon cover up or damage the paint.
If they stay black, you can sand/polish/buff off any scratches easily  .However, I do agree that they should look good painted or otherwise. |

Paint um
Clean them good with alcohol or prep wipes then use an adhesion promoter before you paint. Paints like Krylon fusion are designed to be used on plastics and work great to resist chipping, cracking or peeling. I'm sure if it stands up on my YZ smashing through trees and brush it will hold up on a car just fine.

Amazing, as old as these questions are.....I find myself asking same questions as you guys, thinking about the same.
Was thinking of trimming it like this, similar to the 110 corolla mudguard.

buying them here locally on the island, same yaris sedan mudguards, but the paint scheme is what I am looking at. Either fully paint them or trim it like the pic above
