Brakes and Shocks question - Toyota Yaris Forums

I have a few questions i hope you guys can help me out.

Took my car to dealership today for maintence 20000 miles.
And they said that my rear brake are 75% wore and front are 25% and they suggested me to replace them, cost me around $175 for the rear brakes.

My questions is. 75% wore on the rear brakes on a 20000 miles? is it possible? how about the price? should i do it by myself? has anyone in here done it yet?

And i'm thinking about changing my stock shocks to better one, something smooth like Camry? any suggestions?
