It should be in your manual, homie. You can also find a .pdf copy of the owners manual at http://www.etimago.com/yaris/repairmanual/

Manual Transaxle
Oil type: API GL-4 or GL-5
75W-90

2 quarts or 1.9 Liters

I want to switch my fluid as well, but I feel dumb, and do not know where to fill it back up at..... it is the only reason why I have not done it yet

fill hole

Black Yaris:

The fill hole can easily be seen standing in front of the car and looking down in the engine compartment to the right (driver side) of the engine. On mine, both the drain and the fill hole have a while adhesive tag on them.
I, too, plan to change to Amsoil 75W90 synthetic.

What? a while adhesive? the drain is just like a normal oil pan

I am trying to get you guys a screen shot, but the putter is not behaving. Just go to the manual sticky (C50 Manual Transaxle, P 12) for the filler and drain plug location. It does not make a lot of sense until you visually inspect the vehicle in comparison to the diagram. You can use a funnel with a long hose to fill it from the top.

YES, I finally got the dam thing to work!

Hmmm, I need to double check as I did not notice a drain plug on my pan??? On my last Toy truck I also had duel drains and no one else with the same setup did???

I seem to remember Chino calling me the first time he changed his oil asking me which drain plug he needed to pull..... so I know I am not the only one..... or it is just an Ohio Yaris thing

Ok, mine also has duel plugs. I made a few calls and was told that pulling the pan plug (lowest point) is sufficient after heating up trans. I drained via vacum pump and did not bother with the drain plug as it was at only 5K.

It must be the new manual trannys, but in all the manuals I've ever done, I just used a normal motor oil like Mobil-1 10W-30. They all shifted like a dream! 75W-90 is some thick stuff. I wonder why it needs to be so thick?
