:help: question on 1.3 petrol realistic mileage per tank (old model)

I used to have a 54 plate 1.4 diesel t spirit d4d yaris that I sold in the autumn due to engine probs. I used to get between 500-550 miles per 45L tank mostly driving on the motorway at about 40 miles at a time (80 miles per day, 4 days per week). I would probably average about 70-80 mph on the motorway driving fairly conservatively and didn't do a huge amount of short/town journeys.
I am now looking at returning to a similar age yaris (probably a 2005 spec as I like the sunroofs on the old spec) but this time a 1.3 petrol t spirit so it is cheap but still a little bit of fun. Since it is very rare to actually get an accurate mpg for 'real' driving, I wondered if anyone can give me a rough idea what sort of distance they manage on a tank of fuel doing similar amounts of motorway driving? I am hoping to soon not have to do the motorway drive so I want to return to a petrol that will be town friendly in the long run.
My current calculations for what I spend on diesel for a bigger and heavier 5 door skoda fabia 1.4 plus loan repayments for it suggest that even if I only get 350 miles/tank in a 1.3 petrol yaris I will still be £100/month better off, but I don't know if that is an accurate figure for my driving needs. Anything over 350 miles/tank is a bonus financially but I haven't had a little petrol car for a while to know what is accurate.

Ball park figures much appreciated

you should still be getting in the range that you did before with a 1.3. My 1.5 gets me almost that kind of millage if I drive very easy. Maybe around 440-480 miles. (650-750km)
