^ It is to some people - but you've made your point of view as clear as a window.

I'm sure it can be done.

I did a 15.85 1/4 mile with my 1.8 Yaris (estimated 115 whp) with heavy 17 OE wheels and the only mods were a CAI and removed rear seat.
My car is also a little heavier than a regular Yaris.

I'm sure a 1.5L Yaris stripped and with some mods should be able to pull a 15.9 at least.

i believe SHINLEE ran a 16.3 stock with weight removal before the hack so it can be done.

There's no way the new four door civics run that 1/4 mile time. If your talking about the ek or eg's yeah i believe you but they do that with a swap

omg ROFL -- awesome !!!

Did you notice that the weight savings paid off the best in faster times? Stripping it did better than changing to 15" wheels, for example. Nice!

I think Colin Chapman, founder of Lotus, said it best when asked how to improve a race car: "add more lightness"...

sure, maybe a civic is as fast or faster, but it doesn't FEEL as fast as doing it in a yaris...and that's the whole point that some of you guys just don't get
