With the rear end of an AWD Celica...

It would be MR-X

hey Arkhangel,

since this thread is about what's needed to turbocharge the yaris, hope you won't mind if i have a few questions as well instead of opening a new thread? let me know if it's not ok and i'll remove the post.

Tamago,

where does the turbine oil return line goes to? did you fabricate a nipple at the oil sump? i know i can fit in an adaptor and get the oil feed for the turbine from the oil pressure sensor.

What ive found

for the moment for low boost ive found (and correction are welcome)
T04 Turbo(not sure if this a standard model or a company specific model but that how ive found them)
#
HIGH FLOW TURBO INTERCOOLER - SIZE : 28" X8" X 2.5" WITH 2.5' INCH INLET/OUTLET

A Turbo Manifold, seen them on ebay, but might be easier to have one made

a MAF Translator with A/F Tracking

Piping will just have to have that done here

what Else am i missing?
BOV right?
Need to hook up to the Oil system to lub the turbo(is that right?) and a Oil Cooler(?)

Also for those interested found some Kits on Ebay(AKA Fleebay lol)

skip the intercooler for low boost, or use something from a saab or VW. huge intercooler just hurts turbo spool performance.

or run water/meth injection to supplement the lack of an intercooler

i'm planning on using a TD025 which is even smaller than a TD04. its from the mitsubishi eterna twin turbo. it starts spooling around 2500rpm. it costs RM300 which is less than USD100. good for everyday driving since i'm not looking for a monstrous setup. just want some boost around the daily driven rpm range for a more enjoyable drive. gonna use a small intercooler from the mitsubishi 4G93T which won't really hurt the spool performance.

i don't know if you can get the TD025 from north america though.

T4 for low boost? Sounds like a mismatch to me.
