Vs......
Everyone should be aware, if they aren't, that there will be three competitive models including the Yaris. There will be the Honda Fit and the Nissan Versa (which I consider highly unattractive). Lets get a conversation going on this filled with tons of input...

Yeah I like the swift too. Good looking car. The new accent hatchback looks really good too. Just seems like the toyota will have the best engine of all of it's competition. Best tunability too I would think. Atleast should be on par with the fits and those two will probably be leaders of the pack. Looks like we might start getting some good small hatches after all. WOO HOO! Finally *napoleon voice* GOSH. But if the swift were to be offered with say, the 150 hp engine that's in the awd aerio sx awd I might be tempted to look. Just don't like the way those aerio's corner, looks like they're going to tip over or something.

Yer.. Suzuki Swift, its been out around 9 months in Australia. the 1.8L GTi Model should arive mid-late this year :) They are really nice cars with superb fun handling .... but fro a bit more money, i reckon the Yaris is the way to go. I can see teh swift's shape growing outdated. It may look a bit like a mini side on, but it definitely isnt a mini!

Suzuki Swift isn't worth a shit! Believe me, it is also produced here, in Hungary, so I heard of it quite much. It is too small, its technic is out of date, and it is even not the cheapest car in its category.

Yeah, saw the
Swift + here in Canada, don't worth talk about. (try hear one of them on the road) Fits -- Might be the biggest competitor of them all. Versa -- Ugggggggggggly. Even worst then a Quest. Caliber -- Not bad at all. But then......... American car.... Focus -- Another American.... but they try to make it look cool and kit and stuff is cheap. Wave -- Price is attractive, but not fuel economy (espeically city.Up to 9l/km) Aveo5 -- uh........... No. (have you seen the interior?) Rios -- Korean, need to say more? Accent 5 -- Read Rios At least price wise, they are all competitors. Needless to say, I love my YARIS.

why are you people so strangely addicted to the car you bough and absolutely refuse to accept that something out there may be, well not better, but at least equal to what you have ...all of you without exceptions mentioned the looks of Nissan Versa knowing that Versa surpasses the beloved Yaris on the others sides like interior, comfort, HPs, sound isolation etc...Personally she looks great buy it s just IMHO probably VW guys out there will agree...
Whats up with objectivity guys? |

anyways, those pics of the versa look not bad. from the rear, it bears resemblance to the yaris. maybe its the blazing blue-esque paint job. however, the front is what really does me in for the versa. no thanks does it really qualify to be in the same category as the yaris though? i heard in japan it is in a more upscale classification... above the subcompact class, and its 1.8L motor certainly puts it in the corolla/civic class. |

Man that car is ugly.
I agree it almost seems to fit better in the Corolla class. But that car is just way too ugly to even think about getting in. It does look a little better than the fit though.

I'll have to agree — the new Versa is ugly. Then agin, so is the new Sentra.
