A "Have To" Mod IMHO

I may get flamed for this as I know it's in other threads...but for anyone new to this site or looking to do just one mod to their Yaris, just three words:

NST Crank Pulley

Go to MicroImage online and get the 10% underdrive or the OEM Lite one from Garm

http://shop.microimageonline.com/Eng...anical_c34.htm

DO IT NOW!!!

I just ordered an OEM this week--the 10% underdrive were all out of stock. Can't wait to put it on this weekend!

That's going in when I do the gearbox swap, along with a LSD and clutch. Possibly this winter?

+1, this is a great mod! Just put mine on today and really like it. It pairs very well with the short shift kit and cable bushings.

Anyone want to help me put my underdrive in exchange for a few beers or lunch? I would love you forever. I've had it for maybe 3 months now, still haven't put it on yet been so busy.

yeah the engine revs up and down noticeably faster, making it more responsive, similar effect to a lightened flywheel but to a smaller degree. The underdrive pulley also has the added benefit of reducing the load from the accessories such as the water pump, alternator, AC compressor, so more power ends up going to the wheels.

This is one of my next 3 mods.....pullies.....projectors.....and finally put the header in...pullies were a huge improvement on my tC,it freed up the motor revs a lot.
