disconnecting the battery will reset the ecu. the ecu learns driving habbits and compensates. being that you already disconnected it to begin with, you dont have to. unless u get a code.

Am I the only one about this thread
A Code ! ! ! wat do you mean by get a code ? ?

Um, I'm pretty sure you're supposed to remove the factory intake pipe... The filter should be connected directly to the throttle body, not clamped to a rubber pipe.

A Code ! ! ! wat do you mean by get a code ? ?
A code is when your check engine light comes on. It will have a code set in the ecu. You can use a scanner to read what the code is. Either the scanner can erase the code, OR you can just disconnect the battery for a min and it will erase the code also. SOMETIMES people get a code when doing an aftermarket Intake. Like if you forgot to plug the connector back into the MAF sensor and turn the car on, like i did..

The piss por transitions create so much turbulence that the additional airflow from the cone filer is not being used.

Get a real intake

! ! are you really meaning that there are too much turbulence with the air flow ? ? ?

i saw alot of intake systems havning U and L shaped and worked good ? ?

---------

btw ... i cleaned the AFM and reconnected the buttery then i got a good improvemnt

that's my acceleration 0-100 before installing the filter

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vI_2G...layer_embedded

and that's after installing the filter and cleaning the AMF

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GwFn...layer_embedded

1.2 sec difference ! Good improvement

last question ..

do i need to change filter place to get more cold air ? ?

But they are smooth on the inside. While yours is cobbled together with no internal streamlining.

hahah.

yeah, clean it up a good bit. if you really wanna enjoy the intake, just drive with your windows down and radio turned down. thats how i enjoy mine. sounds like an asthmatic kid fighting for his life. but if thats what the engine looks like due to location, i prob wouldn't roll my window down and let that crap get inside my car.

@ malibubuy

Check post 1, that's his car. Post 27 is someone else's.
Note the ribs right before the TB in post 1. I believe this is stock.

and by the way -- the OP's original question was answered in post 2.
