Watching with interest. There are plenty of people in Australia (not me) who have installed these "chips" in their V6's and V8's and swear that they give the car more power and better fuel economy. Over here you can buy Power gain chips, economy gain chips, reg fuel chips, premium fuel chips and the list goes on.

I've always been skeptical about these chips as they probably void warranty and maybe even car insurance (if you install you need to tell your insurance everything).

hooked it up -- didn't do a damn thing.

I did NOT put it on a dyno yet, I'm not dyno-ing the car just for that. When we re-tune the car, I'll do a before and after to prove that it's crap.

After that, my Dremel and I are going to have us some fun...

so how did ya install it? are you going to have to run new lead wires if you tapped, for when you remove it?

At this point, my stock wiring is all out of the car, so rigorous dyno testing of this may not be possible. I'll just leave it with "didn't do a thing for me". Yes, I tapped the wires to "install".

I'll take it apart when I get a few minutes -- with pics, of course.
