Plugged into the intake box tube that is going to the throttle body.

Thanks guys!

tk421: my engine doesn't look the same at all (I'm not talking about your air intake obviously, but about the engine layout), is that a 1.0 you've got as well?

sleey0: thanks, now I've got to figure out where the throttle body is. Couldn't see it but will check again later.

Look at yhe pic above and follow the metal pipe all the way to the left.

The throttle body is under thos hoses and is aatached to the engines intake manifold.
You can see the body clearly in that pic.

Not trying to be rude, but if you can't find it you probably shouldn't mess with it. I've heard of at least a half dozen broken MAF sensors from people changing intakes or cleaning them.

On the 1KRFE, it's referred to as the "Vacuum Sensor Assembly", rather than the "Air Flow Meter", like on the other engines. It has four signal wires to the ECM (THA, PIM, E21 and VC2), but it doesn't have a +B power feed, so it must not be a heated sensor.

Here is the only image I have of its location. It looks like its mounted to air intake box.

Thanks CTScott! I did see this part and was wondering if it was it, but since the part didn't look like/wasn't located as per the info I had before, I decided not to touch it until I was sure.
I'll have to take of the air box then as the probe is behind it.
Thanks again!

varrr: I don't think I'm going to mess with it right now as the car works fine, but I thought that it would be a nice thing to know "just in case", in particular since I ordered a K&N filter.
