New owner, engine question
Hello, I have recently purchased a 2007 yaris S model manual. I have really enjoyed it so far.
Question, I have seen engines referred to as '2nz-FE 1.3lt NCP90R' for example. I know I have a 1.5L, but what do the other terms refer too? Is there a wiki that summarizes which cars have which engine? Brian |

You have a NCP93 (Toyota Chassis code for your vintage of sedan) with a 1.5L (engine displacement) 1NZ-FE (Toyota engine code).
On the Yaris Wikipedia listing it details the chassis codes and engines. For the US though we have only ever seen the 1NZ-FE (for all three generations of Yaris thus far). Other parts of the world have seen quite a few other engines ranging from 1.0L to 1.8L gas engines and a 1.4L diesel engine.

ctscott is correct. ncp90 is hatch while the 2nz-fe is the 1.3L version engine code. there are 3 more engines i believe, available in other countries, 1.0L (i dunno where), 1.8L (Europe) and 1.4 D4D (Europe).

Welcome to the Yaris family. We have a lot of resources here that can provide you with a plethora of knowledge of not only the car, but also the 1NZ-FE engine and C50 manual tranny.
