2008 Yaris 5-Speed Cruise Control install UPDATE

http://www.allscion.com/cruisecontrol_yaris.html This a photo of my installation of cruise control on a 2008 Yaris Manual Hatchback. Yes it works perfectly in 2010. IT IS ME, my novice and proud installation. The model for the manual in the pull down choice is 250-1797.
Absolutely no problems with the flawless operation of this cruise control. My non-compensated name on the installation was a gift to the seller. ROSTRA does a nice job, no wear on the knobs after two years of daily use.
Sincerely,
BKS

The Rostra duplicates the cruise control functionality that is already built into the ECM on all USDM Yaris.

The Rostra is a somewhat justifiable choice on 08 and older since it has the built in LED as the cruise indicator. On 09+ it is a bit silly since the indicator is built into the cluster.

Great comment, the 09 was changed even the speedometer. Though I cannot see the cruise stalk in my 08, it was the only cruise I could find for the manual 08 Yaris. The position in the photo was purely my choice taking into consideration my larger body/knee profile. I am 6'2" 255 muscular pounds. If you own a no cruise option 06-08 manual tranny Yaris this is a quality product with your choice of stalk location. Flawless operation since the install in early 08.

Thanks for reminding everyone that this may be only a 2008 or OLDER Yaris Manual Transmission models. The Toyota Corporation had nothing listed for USDM 5-Speeds, I was the first to try it because the dealer REFUSED to install it.
Rostra makes a quality product and my 70 mile trip to work is much more enjoyable.
My novice installation, over two years of use, no wear or issues, I add my USE endorsement of the Rostra Cruise. TRD has earned my praise but I need to start another topic to discuss their products - LOL.
Sincerely,
BKS !
