Talking My 09 3dr Progress

Hey everyone, its about time for me to post some updates about my car. Up until now the only mod/upgrade I did was to my substage and radio. Thats all changed thanks to some good friends and an awesome vendor. Special thanks to Custom Lftback, Lil Red Rocket, and Garm. On to the pics.

I ordered a whole bunch of stuff at one time. Here is a photo of what was accumulated over two weeks.

Test fit of the eyelids.

The first upgrade I did was Garms 09 Fog Kit. The whole thing is PnP. No problems at all with the install.

And here is a pic of the fogs doin what fogs do...

A few days later Custom and I drove up to Dallas to meet at Lil Red's house. Top priority was the getting the eyelids started.

The 3P0 paint I ordered from Automotivetouchup.com was a perfect match. Heres a pic of the first coat going on.

Custom wanted to take some pictures of my ride before the Tanabe DF's went on. This pic also shows off the rims I bought the day before from Discount Tire. A set of MB 15" 6.5 +38. Gotta love duel purpose pics :)

A little bit later we removed the front bumper and I installed the H11 HID kit from Garm. Its a super easy install, just cut the connector from the car and from the HID, splice together, mount the ballasts... TADA. Sorry, no pics of the ballast location. This is a pic of me cutting the car side connectors

Close up of the HID bulb in the fog housing. No night shots, but lets just say that when these things are on, they make my high beams output look like my parking lights lol.

Heres the rear of the car after we removed the jacks and rolled it off the ramps. And no, the front hasnt been lowered yet. I kind of liked it, but Custom and Lil red almost ganked me for saything that lol.

We had to push quickly to finish the front because we had to get back to Houston before midnight. Heres a pic of the new lowered stance at my house. I love the new handling.

Still to come is Garms retrofit projector kit as well as Netz badges front and rear. A big thanks to Garm, Custom, and Lil Red for everything.

Enjoy

Nice!

Just one question.......
Since you had the bumper off and purchases all that hardware, why didn't you upgrade the wimpy stock horn while you were at it?

Because the only time I use the horn is when my big a$% hits it on accident.

Besides, I can shake other peoples windows with my subs, thats enough of an alert for most lol.
