2007 Yaris S 5spd Sedan doing 300,000 miles in less than 2 1/2yrs.

Hey guys,
it's me again! I've recently turned 300,000 miles on my yaris in less than 2 1/2yrs. I'm still running on the original factory equipped brakes, clutch and sensors. I've NEVER had any mechanical problems with the car. The car still runs like a dream. The only things I've done on the car is regular oil changes @ 5000 miles using Wal-mart Super Tech 5w-30 Synthetic oil with Toyota OEM oil filters, install new tires every 60,000 - 80,000 miles, replace spark plugs with OEM Denso iridium spark plugs and Toyota OEM drive belt every 100,000 miles, and replaced shocks and struts with Toyota OEM shocks and struts on the car's 2yr anniversary. The brake rotors are still smooth like glass to where you can still see your reflection in it and it has no lip on the edge of it and the brake pads have about 3.5mm remaining on them right now. All the mods on the car were done after 150,000 miles. I have a Weapon R short ram intake with an Arospeed SUS filter, Megan exhaust headers, NST under drive pulley, Tanabe lowering springs and front upper strutbar, TRD rear swaybar, and custom 2 1/4" magnaflow exhaust.

Check my youtube video of the car turning 300,000 miles.

Very good show! Thanks for the inspiration.

Too bad that my Yaris will be eaten by road salt before then, but it helps to give the mind peace at 0300 hours to know that with reasonable maintenance that a Yaris will work. Period.

you bring pride and honor to yarisworld

just curious....what if you go over 999,999? will it reset to 0?

at this rate, in another 4+ years it could become reality

Congrats, That gives me great hope of my yaris lasting forever, did you notice any noticeable difference adding those parts after your engine had so many miles on it?

After seeing your top speed run, I'm starting to miss my Yaris (I traded it for Rav4). However, I did manage to put on 150,000km (but mostly city) in 2 yrs. Even with all the city driving, I still had 80% left on the front pads, since the transmission was doing most of the work.

Your header and the exhaust really do make a difference judging from how quickly you were able to reach the cut-out. I was able to do it as quick with my stock setup, but it was on a bit of a down hill and I had the wind behind me.

Seeya at 500,000 miles.

That's amazing! The legend of Toyota engines being highly reliable continues. Congrats!

How many more miles you plan on keeping it?

Wow, 300k miles is just amazing.
I think most cars don't last that long.

I could swear that I've seen this exact same post, with nearly the same miles before the hack.

I'm trying to convince the local Toyota dealerships to sponsor the maintenance on my yaris. One dealership is considering giving taking my yaris and giving me a new yaris for free. Although, most ppl would jump at the offer. I can't be assured that the next yaris I get would perform as well. I prefer to keep mine and have them maintain it. But, they are still conidering the offer for the new yaris. it's not final as yet. I LOVE my yaris!

Yeah, the most noticeable difference was the intake. the headers and exhaust made a difference on top end.

that noise were my lifters or my headers leaking. but that noise is no longer there.

Toyota North America should give props to OP for advertising Yaris reliability in such a distintive way
