Tapatalk is way faster to review new posts, for example - that's a feature I like.

Ummm... it doesn't mean you have to uninstall your phone's browser, by the way...

It's annoying having to decline that crap every time I want I open the forum(your forum as well as others). My suggestion is valid, if you guys are having trouble browsing standard shit you can always upgrade your equipment...

I have a Galaxy S II -- what would you have me "upgrade" to?

Using Dolphin browser, I only have to decline Tapatalk once and then it always goes straight to the forums. Maybe you should upgrade yours.

There are enough annoying problems viewing my own forums in a smartphone browser -- I'm glad it works for you as is.

Iphone...obviously(since it works flawlessly). ;)

I keep my internet options set to "private browsing"...

It trashes cookies/history/etc when you close your browser. It's helps keep people out of the bank/gov/etc(clown porn) sites I use if I lose my phone. It also means I have to decline that stupid pop-up everytime I open sites with tapatalk(mobile versions) etc. the less I have to do that the happier I am.

BUMP....really really wish that this damned site would get with the times and offer Tapatalk so working on a mobile device is much nicer! I am willing to bet that it would increase usage of the site and patronage.

Which browser are you using? I have Firefox, Safari, and IE on the taskbar of my netbook, but I primarily use Safari. I set it up so the zoom buttons are on the edge of the header at the top and zooming allows me to avoid the scrolling back and forth you mention. However, my solution might be uncomfortable eyesight wise for others.

I don't use my netbook very often, but I use it far more often than my smartphone (an AT&T Fusion with Gingerbread). The Fusion shares a SIM card with a Motorola Razr v3 and most of the time I leave the SIM card sitting in the v3. I also have a Verizon line.

I agree with Mazilla, I don't like the mobile versions of sites.

I bought my netbook because eventually I want to replace the hard drive (with a much larger one) and have it hackintoshed so that (once I digitize my pre 2002 photos) I can have all of my pics in a 'regular' (non iPhone/iPad) version of iPhoto. This is a much cheaper solution than trying to do this with a MacBook Air.

I actually bought my netbook after I already had a 17" MacBook Pro w/Boot Camp - Snow Leopard and Win 7 Home Premium (and a Toshiba 15" Dual Core and a cheap Compaq 15" Celeron). I later bought an eMachines 15" AMD, worth it for the storage alone ($198 new,) and soon after that the Toshiba died. I still have yet to use the e-machines (waiting in the wings until the Compaq dies).

It is possible that this could be contributing to the frustration you mention in other posts. I have read that people using GB who were able to start using a more modern version of Android (upgrading on their current device if possible, otherwise getting a new device) were able to say good riddance to some of the user frustrations they were experiencing. I don't use my phone often enough to need to go beyond GB (and I don't think my device would allow it anyway).

I don't have a data plan on my AT&T line and have yet to use the Wi-Fi setting the Fusion for browsing (no need if I have a laptop right there). If I ever felt I needed a data plan I'd try it on the Fusion (which I got basically as a gift) first, but I have a feeling I'd end up wanting to see the full version of most if not all sites and get an iPhone and a StraightTalk plan (but I'd also check out the feature set of whatever Galaxy or Galaxy Note was available at that point).

(yeah, I realize I responded to some old posts above...not the end of the world...never know what might end up being informative to someone...and they weren't walls of text)

I'd really like this too, but as you know, the admins rarely log in to see what's up with the site or check their PMs.

I just did a bit of digging and sent an email to the hosting provider for this site. Hopefully they'll be able to relay the information to YarisBueller/VitzBoy and I will hear back from them soon.

Talk about a reacharound... jeesh

The fact that you're even willing to try is amazing.

I'd donate monthly if that'd help. I love this site.
I also love the accessibility of Tapatalk.
