Disabled DRLs and Factory fog lights

For those of you who have disabled your DRLs and have factory fog lights, you will have noticed you no longer have use of your fog lights....or if you turn on your High beams AGAIN no fog lamps
The solution to this is find the small orange wire on the DRL harness and simply run it to a ground. Done now you can use at any time, headlights on/off etc

If it's alright with you, id like to add this info to my How_To Disable DRL post. Didnt have fogs, so never knew this was an issue once they were disabled.

Where was the thread about hooking up the DRL circuit to fog lights so the fogs could be used as DRLs?

Did anyone figure that out?

I'd like to hook the DRL circuit up to the parking lamps once I get my HID kit, but I'm at a loss.

Help?

I just disabled my DRL... love it, when I had them the Lights were so bright they bounced off my garage door and I could not see to back out my driveway when it is dark.... now all I need is some LED markers to make my headlamps shine blue :)

Like these?

Keep in mind, all eight 8' lights were on inside the garage when I took this. At night, they light up the headlight housing.

yeah, have the factory fog light, but it only can be on when the low beam is turned on. Kinda useless. Would like to know how to reconnect the wire so I can have the fog light on whenever I want! A step by step walk through would be appreciated. Thank you!

OK....this is to easy. I don't think it really requires pics.

On the (Harness) side , where the (DRL) plugs in. Take a look at the connector(Harness) Locate the orange wire, push a wire into the connector at this point, then hook up to a grounding point.

Sorry, it might sound easy to you, but I have no clue what you're talking about.

Here is what I understand:
1. Locate the harness, should be under the steering wheel where the DRL module is.
2. Locate an orange wire
3. Push a wire into the connector (This I'm having problem with, where I get the wire from? And push the wire to where in the connector??)
4. Ground it (Agin, ground what? And how?)

It might sound stupid but a detail walk through will be much appreciated. Thank you.
