To each his own I always say. I think that the crux of the matter is selling an item that was not as advertised, regardless of what it is. All the rest is simply a matter of taste. Hey, I'm thinking about putting a set of "spinner" hubcaps on my Yaris...now if I can only find them on ebay!

Isn't it possible to retract your feedback, thought it was...

I was wondering when someone would bring this up. However I dont care what I buy if its for $1 or $1000 it should fit and work 'as advertised'. The seller is a known liar now on this site and everyone has been warned.

I have full confidence in PayPal to give me my money back. The asshole seller has pretty much sealed his fate by his responses.

Anyone else here had bad Ebay experiences? Or am I the ONLY Yarisworld member thats ever been had?

I am careful on eBay and I generally have very good experiences. I usually stick with name brand though, and I ALWAYS check the feedback for the seller.

How's that go...

Fool me once, shame on you... fool me twice, shame on me.

Or, in Republican speak:

Fool me once, shame on -- shame on you. Fool me -- you can't get fooled again.

(thanks, Dubya!)

But, thanks for the heads up. Try not to buy from dipshits more often then necessary in the future, k?

You're right, I was just being a smart ass. It's not like one person't tastes are *better* than anothers. You simply have a different set of tastes than I do, that's all, no biggie. Hope it all works out for you in the end.

heh... funny thing is, looking at the mirror covers I'm selling through the GB, it turns out our asian Yarii have different mounting holes for the mirrors than the USDM ones, so the seller in this case was kinda right, though he should be aware of the problem by now, and respond in a less bone-headed way!!!

The big flaw with the feedback system is that you could do everything right, and the other person is a dick, so you leave them negative feedback. Then they retaliate and give you negative feedback.
The way around this is that there is a limit on how long you have to give feedback (30 days I think). The trick is to wait until the last minute, that way you give them negative, but they can't unfairly give you negative.

I stay away from ebay altogether now. Their customer service sucks and I had gotten my account hacked and that idiot placed up to 200 bids. Try explaining to every single seller what happened. Ebay wouldn't even do anything for me. Just told me to contact every seller.... umm 200+ sellers to contact? No thank you.

The seller should adjust his listing to say 'fits Asian market Vitz/Yaris only' then I wouldnt have purchased.

BTW he hasnt learned a damned thing hes still peddling his crap on there to unsuspecting buyers.

What is weird is that what he is selling has screw holes. Perhaps there is a third type of mirror for the Yaris with the same exterior shape but different mounting points?
