Sleeping option? - Toyota Yaris Forums

Hello guys, I'm new here but I have owned my Toyota Yaris for 4 years now (2nd owner) and finally I own it debt free. :)

I'm photographer and I love to travel around to take some photographs (see here and here) but I was thinking about if it were possible to modify my car somehow to allow me to sleep in it (is it possible?) or make it like a large onsite working computer where I could print and even work on site.

I'm not much car man myself (so far) and must admit that I'm more of the type who can only change tires and not much more hehe... :)

Btw. I'm about 6 feet tall guy, however I don't normally need much space. :)

you can already sleep in the car lol

you could put in a carputer, touchscreen vga display replacing the stereo and hook it up to a nettop for cheap, then it would be easy to have a printer and wireless keyboard for typing.

Sleep in the passengers seat as it eliminates steering wheel and pedals.

If you travel alone, then lose the passenger seat and the rear seat. That allows you to install a sheet of plywood right through to the trunk lid; a couple of simple trestles to support it, a foam mattress, a good sleeping bag, and you're done. (I did this on a previous small car, and it worked perfectly; my advantage was that it was a convertible, so I could sleep under the stars...)

Check out Idea or somesuch; they like to carry very small dressers, sometimes for kids, but usually for an odd spot where one wants storage. Look around, lots of options for your equipment, but the key is to stay organised!
