Fog Light Help...

So I got my new fogs today and I'm not sure what a few wires are for.. I've searched on these forums but I haven't really found anything for the sedan. I know where some of the cables go but I have no idea what these blue and green wires are for. Also, I was wondering if when I install these, will the fog light in use light on the cluster turn on? I really want it to show when they're in use but I'm not sure what I have to do to make the little symbol turn on.. I'm a n00b at all this car modding and I ordered these off ebay, so take it easy on me. lol My dad's helpin me out with most of this stuff..

what are these for?

Except mine are for the sedan of course.. I'm wondering if it will help. Because I really do need a step by step walkthrough.. =/ I'm really a noob.. Can you still send me the factory instructions? Are they for the sedan? thanks for all your help.

Okay. I got them installed. The only problem now is that the rectangle indicator on the fog light switch doesn't turn on when the fogs are on. It doesn't turn on when ANY lights are on. But it turns on when I switch my lights off and it stays on even when the car is off. Help!

Photo's please of the installed wires ie D4 what pin number
and where have you wired the blue wire.
where did you get the relay

Problem is your lights are working in reverse to the way they are meant too.
eathier your blue and green wires are in the wrong place or the relay is working in reverse.

Okay, This is what I got.

I got this relay from an O'Reilley store. It was very similar to the Narva relay you said I needed. It fits perfectly in the cream colored box on the right side of the fuses.

This is the D4 before I added the wires.

And I wired them like this at first:

Blue with white and Green with yellow.
When they were like this, the fog light switch rectangle would turn on ONLY when all my lights were off and it would stay on with the car off. The fog lights worked fine though with the switch. And the symbol on the dash would even turn on when they were on. But the rectangle on the switch would NOT turn on even if the fogs were on. Like I said, it only turned on when ALL my lights were off and it would stay on.

Now, I tried wiring them like this:

Blue with Yellow and Green with White.
What this did is it turned the rectangle on when the fog lights were off. As soon as I turned on my headlights and pushed the fog light button, the rectangle turned off. But the fogs turned on. So basically, it was working OPPOSITE as it was supposed to. It would turn on when the fogs weren't in use and turn off when they WERE in use... Oh, but it still stayed on even when the car was off...

AHH!! whats going on?? =/

I think your problem is very simple , (99.99% sure)
you have the green and blue wires around the wrong way
the green wire goes into pin3 (not pin4 ) and
the Blue wire goes into pin4 (not pin3 )

Also the orginal wires you took out of pin 3 & 4
need to be connect as well , could not see if they where in your photo's
hope all this helps .

Relay looks correct.

once you have changed those two wires your fog lights will be able too turn off or on only when your
park lights or head lights are on , and your fogs will turn off when high beam is on .
if you want your fog lights to stay on with the high beam (which is illegal in some states then
leave the blue wire only disconnected from pin4 .

But I've tried the green one on both pin3 and pin4 and I've tried the blue one on both pin3 and pin4 and it still doesnt work either way. =//

Also, the wires that were already in there are still plugged in. I never took them out. I just added the blue and green wires with them.

ugg.. Yeah I checked the instructions but I didn't find much there. =/

Could it be the relay? or the switch? Is the relay I'm using fine? I mean, the fogs turn on fine but the switch is whats wack...

AH!!! I just went back into the car to see what I could do to fix it but as soon as I turned on my lights, I noticed the speedometer didnt turn on. Nor did the radio buttons. Nor the park, reverse, drive, etc symbols.. What could've happened???! This is turning out to be the WORST project I've done on my car..

ahhhhh sounds like you have blown the main fuse on the battery
your wires are around the wrong way and your relay looks to be wrong .
check out the edited post above and see the differrance in the diagram .

So then I should put the blue wire in pin4 and green in pin3?

What can I do about the fuse?

So I should get that Narva relay?

...this has been frustrating.. =//

Is the battery connected
Replace the fuse it if it blown
Have a whisky and chill
yeah go with the narva relay
and put the green wire into pin 3
leave the blue wire disconnected tape it up for now. (this wire supply's the signalto the relay to turn fogs off when high beam is on.)

Okay. I'll disconnect the blue tomorrow mornin. But they've been in the right place all this time.. =/ Is it really the relay?

Where can I get that specific relay from? I looked on MicroImage but I didn't find it..
