Dice up some red and/or green peppers and red onion, chop some cilantro, throw some olive oil, lime juice and rice wine vinegar in there and some salt, cumin, cayenne, and chili powder. Then bring some ears of corn and grill them off when you get there. Hack the kernels off the ears and add your little corn salsa starter pack. You can put a good corn salsa on anything, including your woman. Maybe bring the Tostitos? Even better, grill some chicken in some jerk seasoning or something. Put the salsa on top. Flavor explosion.

Lowcountry Shrimp Boil
This involves shrimp, spicy sausage, potatoes, corn on the cob, and seasoning. Amounts depend on your taste, budget, and number of servings wanted.

Get a couple packages of crab/shrimp boil seasoning (found in the spice section, Old Bay is most common brand). Fill a big pot with water and toss in the seasoning bags. Once water boils throw in potatoes (leave whole if small, cut in 1/2 or 1/4 if large); I like red potatoes but your choice. Keep testing for doneness--when you can get a fork through potato, put sausage coils in whole as well; polska kielbasa works well and is readily avilable. Corn on the cob goes in next, snap in 1/2 first, usually takes about 10 minutes or less to cook. Shrimp is last; only takes a minute or so to turn pink. Drain everything, cut up sausage, serve.

Many variations on this, sometimes called Frogmore Stew. OMG it is sooo good. and so easy it it's stupid.
