I like the Beat's exterior, though I wish I could find more info on ANY of them.

Vote Beat, or else!

They look more like a poster for the next Pixar/Dreamworks crossover film Cars meets Robots. Especially that Trax one... Still that's some pretty cute looking concepts. I voted Beat.

GM mini? Oxymoron anyone?

Interesting...I actually like the Beat, very funky looking car as well as the others. This is what Scion should sell at least for one of their cars. Scion is starting to become guilty in lets make are cars bigger than nessicary (referring to the new models)! I'm all for space but...I digress. I wonder if these are based on Chinese cars or at least platforms? But yeah you wonder about the "cheapness" of these, as far as quality, sure their suppose to be low end but our definitions of today are changing and standards in what we expect in a reasonibly priced car.

Oh come on, you're joking right?

Did you notice that the Yaris HB looks like a miniture cross between a minivan and an SUV? That's what makes it actually useful.

Europe has different cultures and transportation needs, so don't even try to compare them to the U.S. The countries are so small (mostly) that driving between them is like driving from state to state.

You move to Europe, I'll stay here thanks.

different transportation needs?? if transportation is defined as getting from point A to point B, then how different are their needs in comparison to ours?? we both use roads to drive our cars. i understand if you said venice needs different transportation needs, since that city is nothing but canals. in fact, europes transportation needs are the same as ours, and even more difficult, since they have less space to deal with. thats why their cars are more space efficient. i cant imagine how much less congestion i'd see on the freeways if our cars were a little smaller. but different people definitely have diffferent views about this, depending on where you live. i consistently drive on the 3 worst freeways in the world here in LA. because of this, i'd like to see smaller cars so traffic will flow more smoothly. and dont even get me started on the parking situation anywhere here in SoCal.

--B

ps: and i definitely dont think the yaris looks like SUV. no SUVs out there are shaped like our tiny moving bubbles. now the dodge caliber, the front of that definitely screams mini-dodge ram!?!

Don't care what the rest of the US likes as long as I get to buy what I like (Why no 5dr and cruise Toyota????) Really wouldn't like driving on a road where everyone was the same as me!!!!

im actually very impressed that chevy has considered making more small cars with the success of the aveo, which is actually korean. i was thinking about things some more and actually retract my statements earlier about the absurdity of making miniature suburbans and other SUVs. this is actually a GREAT idea since people who like the looks of those SUVs can actually get one that fits their lifestyle! i am actually quite taken by the look of the new tahoe/suburban. its just annoying when i see teenage girls driving them. now, lil miss brtiney can get the miniature versions and not run our little yarii off the roads! throw in some efficient powertrains and we've got a winner! in hindsight, a wonderful concept by chevy...

Chevrolet(GM) bought the bankrupt Korean car maker Daewoo a few years back. Most of these minicars are actually Daewoo cars. So technically, they're Chevy's that are Korean engineered.

Oh good lord, chevy has rebuilt the sprint. Why oh why can't the big three build a decent car? This little thing is flat out ugly.
