LED light for shifter knob?

This might be a weird question, haha. I was in Autozone the other day getting a new rubber guard for the door (mine fell off :() and saw this cool shifter knob that I had to buy. Anyhow, I'm soon buying neon tubes for my interior to brighten everything up (putting them in the trunk as well with my subs) so I thought it would be cool if I could put LED's in the eyes of this thing to make it look cooler. The problem is obviously running wire on the shifter would look lame. My question is do they make single LED lights that are powered by a small battery? I tried looking online, but to no avail. Pics below, and perhaps any ideas for getting its eyes to light up would be cool.

Thanks a bunch :D

You can buy skull shift knobs that light up. That would probably be easier than trying to figure out how to get a battery and power switch into yours.

If you do want to try, you can use a pair of LEDs from Radio Shack, a coin cell battery, and a small switch. The LEDs will work directly off of the coin cell, or to extend the battery life, put a 50 ohm resistor in line with the LEDs.

For a great explanation of how to wire LEDs, check out the following website (a friend of mine and his son sell light kits for Cub Scout Pinewood Derby cars):

You bought a skull gear shift knob but are worried about visible wires looking lame?

Yup :)

Plus, why not? It matches the tan interior, and looks better than the one that came with the car. To each his own. One could argue that any modification on a car such as a Yaris is just ricing it. It is, after all, an economy car. Mine only cost $8000 with 20k miles on it, not a spec of damage anywhere. But yet everyone here does it.
