Condensation from air vents
Hey all,
First post here, I have 2009 Toyota yaris hatchback while the a/c was on today, the vents were wet, and there was some steam like when it's cold out and you see your breathe kind of deal.. any ideas on that? Secondly, My front brakes, when I bought the car they were pulsating very badly so I replaced and now here we are 30,000ish miles later they are right back to square one. Are these cars known for chewing brakes? And what do you recommend for replacements? -Brad |

Make sure water drains out.
Mine condenses, but not while AC is on. As for the brakes, using quality rotors help, but also has to do with how you drive. Stepping on the brakes over a pot hole, jamming on the brakes on a red hot rotor definitely doesn't help for example. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk |

A normally functioning A/C unit will pull the moisture out of the air, that's why it's useful even in the winter to defog your windshield. I'd check the A/C is actually working, and see if the A/C drain is not clogged.
As for the brakes if you warped a new set of rotors I would suspect the caliper slider pins are seized or a seized caliper piston. You can easily check the slider pins and re-grease them with synthetic brake grease. A seized piston generally means a new brake caliper. Last edited by B.B._07; 06-19-2018 at 04:00 PM. |

Yup, and why most manufacturers have the a/c kick in when the defroster is on, even if the a/c light doesn't turn on
