Strange Noise when accelerating!

Hi can any folks help?

When i press the accelerator, typically at higher speeds, but not always, i can hear a strange sound which i can best describe as a shhh noise but not an exact description, had exhaust checked and thats fine. There is no lose of power and seems to be running fine. Oil, water etc are all full. Only makes sound when i press he accelerator. Just noticed a strange noise when running slowly today also in 1st and 2nd gear, sounds a bit like a train lol!

Any ideas?

If you are using the Toyota made in Thailand Filter - get a WIX or NAPA on there right away - this is usually the hydraulic timing chain tensioner LOOSE letting the chain drag along the "nylon" chain guide around the front of the block - but only if you hear it in neutral with the door open and you rev it up. Otherwize it could be: tire squirm during acceleration. Choice #3, if you smell rotten egg (oxides of sulphur) while you are getting up to speed on the highway with the car floored - then the cat is getting carboned up. You havent done anything silly like seafoam treatment recently? Luck wid this, mang "V'

When it breaks you'll know what it is.We arent too familiar with the 1L engine so without more info we are only guessing,i'd think about checking the transmission oil.

Blow off Valve/Waste gate? How do you know he has a turbo? Unless BOV means something else.

Hey stuck chain tensioners are a BIG problem on these cars. You'll destroy the motor if it remains that way for long. Seriously.

I would check to see if the black hamster on the left side of the engine bay is okay^-^ My white one sprained his ankle

Honestly check your fender liners to see if one is loose.
