Rear spoiler concern...

Seeing I just finished installing the kamanari kit I decided a rear spoiler would look good.

This is the one I want to get.Only concern is the mounting looks flimsy.2 or 3 screws doesnt seem adequate to keep it sturdy, perhaps when slamming back door too hard accidently?

Anyone who has this I would really appreciate opinions.

P.S

I did see this post, but it still seems as it would be flimsy even if you used a large washer on the inside with nut?

What caused it to split, just the cold alone?

Also was it floppy when going over bumps and such?

I've had no issues with mine, though it's only been on for about a year and the car doesn't get a lot of use. Mine is not loose or floppy at all. It's very solid, but I used 3M tape as well as the screws. These spoilers are great - for the price. The finish quality ( aka, the fiberglass has some imperfections) is okay, not great. A person could do some finish work to make it better. But, no, it's not of the quality of, say a Seibon piece.

Got mine from china for a third of the price, build quality is fine.
Once bolted down it's very sturdy no complaints.

Yeah, mine was around $35 or $40 USD. I live next to the border fortunately.

That, I totally get. Never worth waiting for what can be months just to save a few bucks. Have fun with the installation. I bet if you documented it here on the site, it would be followed by quite a few people.

Going to paint this weekend.Using spraymax 2k.

They did not include the hardware (Screws and caps for holes)

They gave me the option to send me another or refund me 20%.

I took the refund and will figure the rest out.

SprayMax 2K is the cat's ass. Wear a good quality respirator. Those isocyanates can fark you up really bad! What are you using for a base coat? If you're using Duplicolor Perfect Match, I'd recommending applying the SprayMax clear before the Perfect Match fully cures. I cleared a set of wheels that had been base coated with the Perfect Match and had cured for a few days. The SprayMax flaked off in big sheets. I've applied the SprayMax 20 - 30 minutes after the final base coat of Perfect Match and it bonded really well and never failed.
