Guys update I was just going to pick up the fouler on the way back before I left of scanned my echo and found had a pending code with the p0420 cat efficiency and all but my o2 sensor was ready, quickly went to the nearest oil changer and by my advantage there was one just at the corner where I was going out, e-tested and passed I would like to thank you guys for ALL your feedback looks like I had a big enough time window to monitor it and take it in right away with one readiness not complete.

Car-quest they have pretty good stuff like these, they were about $10 each I didn't buy them but if I didn't pass that's the route I would have went.

This means that you can still pass an e Test in Ontario with one check not ready. Good news.

So you had a pending code but no cel? I'm confused to the status of your ecu readiness when you got the test done.

Yes that's correct you can get away with one being not ready in my case it was the Catalitic system monitor that was not ready everything else was ready I did not get a engine light during this time but I had a p0420 fault pending Not current- stored but no engine light. Got to the test place just in time before the ecu completed the Catalitic system cycle which was the last one being checked (incomplete) according to my obd2 reader which I had plugged in the whole time there.

Ok ya that's what I figured, same way I passed last year. Good to know that hasn't changed when they updated the rules
