OK, so in that case, as long as one does the long press with the switch, there are no worries about TRAC being re-enabled on acceleration.

TRAC, if turned off by the mild button press, will reactivate automatically

VSC, if turned off by the hard button press, will NOT reactivate automatically

TRAC, if turned off by the feet and handbrake, will NOT reactivate automatically

that is what techinfo.toyota.com sez about 2010 yaris

Sounds good. You owe us some pictures of your Yaris as well. I enjoy seeing them in their native habitats all over the world.

For US Yaris, VSC and TRAC weren't available in 2009.

so if u were to dissable VSC and TRAC (i have the switch, so i know the long hold) they will never turn on again unless the car is restarted or the switch is depressed again. and the car has no other traction control functions. i'm looking to drift and such but found with only TRAC off the independent braking still was applied (since i found out about the long hold for VSC it hasn't snowed again so haven't been able to test it)

so TRAC doesn't come back on by itself, as vehicle speed increases...if you previously disabled only TRAC and not disabled VSC also ?

techinfo says trac will come back on, if only trac was turned off

Ok, so I took a look at the brake actuator yesterday, a found that it's quite accessible. But it was late last night and I wasn't feel like taking out the battery. The connector really looks like A30 (quite big and without round corners like A15).
I'll try to do that dirty test with a wire during this weekend.

Is it possible for someone who got the switch from factory to make a picture of its back? I found some connectors under my handbrake lever and want to know if maybe i can attach the TRC/VSC switch to one of them.

Here's what the 2010 service manual shows of the connector on the bottom of the VSC off switch:

Do you have keyless entry? That connector looks like the one for the keyless entry receiver.
