HELP, my car is acting up!!!

I tried to rewire the dimmer assembly as the switch is missing and I couldn't find it to purchase.
I made the mistake of cutting off the 10 pin connector to do this, and now it's like the car has gone beserk.
The battery isn't charging, the airbag isn't working, the ABS isn't working, the power steering isn't working, the gear isn't shifting. It's like the car is dying, Help please anyone.

They are both fuses in the under dash fuse panel.

Thanks, I'll try it. But I'm curious, if I was suppose to connect the light green wire, to the black/white wire, and the orange wire. Then where is the power supposed to come from.

The dimmer rheostat brings the ground for the interior lighting from ground to +12 volts to do the dimming. Ground = full bright, +12 = completely off, in between = some amount of dimming.

Connecting the green and orange right to ground will give both of those circuits their ground (instead of an open circuit with the rheostat removed).

I checked the fuses and they're blown. I changed them, and now the car is back to normal. Ur quite the genius, THANKS. Can u tell me why they blew up in the first place?
And can the dimmer be rewired without the connector.
Cause I don't wanna make any mistakes again. And pls, what fuse controls the dash lights?
THANKS. I owe u five.

Did you cut the wires with the key ON?

The way that I posted in the other thread should allow you to make it work without the dimmer. Just, make sure you make your connections with the car off and cap off the remaining unused wires to avoid an accidental short and more popped fuses.

Hey, what's up.
If I'm not mistaken, the guidelines u gave me will supply light to the ac switches, radio, hazard lights etc.
By earthing the orange and light green wire.
What about the gauges (the cluster), they too don't come on, am I also to connect the yellow wire directly to the earth for them to come on.
THANKS.
