46.8mpg on my current tank.

I'm pretty pleased. I'm about 1/2 way through my current tank and I'm at 46.8mpg. This includes a 2-mile uphill on the way to work every day, plus the 2-mile uphill. I don't use any hypermiling techniques....I'm just light on the gas pedal for the most part. It's been relatively warm (for MN standards), which I'm sure helps quite a bit. That is all.

Congrats . I can't remember, does the stock digital 'information' display on the 3rd Gen provide the above MPG information, or do you have a Scan Gauge or other aftermarket device ?

yes, the 5 speed yaris, when driven reasonably, has little trouble getting consistently in the 40's.

it would be even better if you didn't have to drive two miles uphill on the way to work, then 2 miles uphill on the way back

It must be near the grade school my father went to.
It was uphill both ways & that was before horses.

I'd like to see real figures. Ie, calculate the mpg with your fill up and how much you actually drive.

This is from the stock digital info display. The first few months that I had the car, I calculated mpg by hand and compared it to the display and they were always with a few tenths of an mpg from each other. So, I'm assuming the display is fairly accurate.
