Yep. I put a switch on the passenger side door and now the passenger can push the button and make it go down like the drivers. I got the idea from a friends xB.

I'd actually like this to work from the driver's side. Is that possible?

Also, any details or pics of what you did?

I want there to be an auto Up, thats more important to me, especially on those rainny days ordering fast food, and grabbing stuff with both hands as rain pours in. Sucks.

I was wondering if you had any additional information on wiring up a new power window switch with auto up and down?

Do you know if I can just get another driver side switch and put it into any of my doors and have it work?

Also you said you used a switch from an Xb are there other models of Toyota's that you know of that will work?

Thank you all for the help.

Auto up would be dangerous for kids, so Toyota will never produce it. Lotsa luck wiring it up yourself.

there are load monitors (i dunno if load monitors are the correct term) on the auto up windows on some makes/models of cars now that will reverse if there is resistance.

but like most likely toyota may not do it....but I think they have it on the Lexus models....?

The boy's 09 Jetta Sportwagen TDI has the safety feature with the auto up that stops the windows when there's something in the way, like a child's finger.

Would be nice if Toyota had that too... The technology's there, why can't they use it?

Check out the DEI 530T module (Power Window Automation System). It is a module that allows auto up and down for two windows. It sells for about $50 and has the safety feature.

Is this plug n' play with the OEM window switch? Or does it get spliced in some how? The pics I see of it don't show much.

It's not plug and play, as it is a generic device, intended to allow remote starters to be able to crank the windows up or down with an auxiliary output.

From what I see, it looks there are two wiring harness included. One for standard window operation, and the other for interfacing with the alarm system (if equipped).
