1.0 Aygo Engine: clicking noise - worn valves or bearings?

Hi there,
recently, my Yaris 1.0 (Aygo Engine, 1KR-FE) hit 90000km/ approx 55kMi and started clicking.
I have traced down the problem to the engine mechanicals:
-I took off the belt, the noise stayed
-I turned off the engine while the clutch was engaged and my car was rolling, the noise stayed

Depressing/releasing the clutch and engine temperature do not change anything about the noise either.

I'm checking the oil level periodically and it was never even close to the minimum mark.
Compression pressures are alo quite good (12bar on each cylinder +-0,5)

With a friend of mine, I also checked the valve clearance which turned out to be a bit smaller on the intake and somewhat bigger (wtf? lifter wear?) on the exhaust side than specified.

The EDIT: intake side is specified to be 0.145-0.235mm, we measured:
0.18 0.18 | 0.18 0.17 | 0.17 ~0.13
The exhaust side is specified to be 0.275-0.365mm, we measured:
0.34 0.38 | 0.33 0.35 | 0.38 0.39

Could the shaft bearings be worn out or should I follow the manual and buy the needed lifters (I know how to do so, just asking whether I should do this)?

I've got a second car which I'll be hopefully able to use from next week on, so I should be able to do bigger surgery on my Yaris with plenty of time

You have those both marked as exhaust...

But I would order the buckets... only problem is you need to take them out to see what sizes you need to order. Sometimes you can swap them around to even out the clearances on other close ones so you only end up needing 1 or 2.
