Need opinions on these wheels ASAP!

A local guy is selling these wheels for £75! That's for the full set, not each

I'm very tempted, they look great for the price. They were fitted to MG cars in the UK:

In black maybe:

Do you think I should get them? Even for that price I could probably make my money back selling them...or even weigh them in for scrap money!

They look great, but do you want to own anything MG... :-p. I take it you don't know if they fit or not.

Haha, I hate all things MG but they are copied off these Team Dynamics wheels:

They are 16" but other than that they're a perfect fit. I've been thinking of getting 16's just to test out to see how they feel and possibly use for a track day, so I think at this price, even if I decide I don't like 16's after all at least it didn't cost me much.

If they fit, I'd buy them in a heart beat... but I would never paint them black!

The gunmetal grey is a good look, it could match the colour of my car well:

I think I'm gonna get them, it can't hurt at that price :)

P.S. Forgot to mention they are 16 x 6.5 ET45 :D

I don't know what the MG deal is, but I highly doubt that MG actually manufactured those wheels. I'd take them. For about $100, those are a steal!

I bought them but now I've hit a snag...they need 56.1 centre rings and I can't find 54.1-56.1mm centre rings anywhere :(

That's like my Mini Cooper wheels. I just ran lugcentric bulge conical lug nuts on them until a member on here sold me a set of hub rings that he had custom machined. They are literally paper thin, since the radius difference is just 1mm.

Damn, I don't want to be spending loads of money on custom rings after I got such a good deal on the wheels.

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but if the lug holes have a conical taper, then just using lugnuts that properly fit that taper will be fine. The issue with the cooper wheels was that the lug holes are huge (14mm) compared with the Yaris lugs (12mm), so with the Yaris OEM lugnuts you could see through the lug holes on the flats of the lug nuts.

I just checked and it appears that both cars use the exact same size nuts: M12 X 1.5 thread with a 60 degree conical taper so I'm hoping the holes in the wheels are also the same size, they should be anyway.

That should be fine then. The taper will take care of centering the wheel on the hub.
