What is a milkshake in reference to sound deadedning?
How in your opinion, how should it be applied to A-pillars and mid bass kick pods?
My answer is lead shot, sand, and resin (for materials).
What do some of you have in mind?
Interesting...

Well at least my self this is what I'm going to do (even though my drivers and amps are smaller than yours)...

I'm going to start with Clay, inside the spheres and kick panels. For the A-pillars I'll use CLD Tiles with some Mat. Since my spheres are mechanically attach to the a pillars I'll isolate them with some Extruded Butyl Rope to prevent vibrations and try to reinforce the way the A-pillars attach mechanically to the chassis; because the speakers and deadening add a lot of weight to them.

The Clay idea I'm not sure if it works or not, I read it online and makes sense but you guys are the PROS here, I just feel like the Clay can be removed if doesn't work, some other epoxy/glue/resin combination may be the best way to go, some times trial an error is my best friend.

I think it can't be very rigid or stiff it should dampen the vibrations, be heavy and a little flexible to tolerate changes in temperature.

Well, that's what I think, if there is a better way to approach it, let me know I don't want to re-invent (H2O)

So it would work great inside the kick panels and not too good on the spheres/a-pillars

I'll start building the kick panels for the L6's once I get the MDF rings, they should be here next week.

Do I realized it???????????????

I was only going to add a small amp and a 10" subwoofer and keeping everything else OEM.

This is a product of the internet and spending way too much time behind the screen.

I don't drink or smoke or do drugs, but I do have an addiction and I'm glad it's all about YarisWorld!

My next step:... .????????? I'm already thinking about another class A/B amp to power the L6's properly maybe 150watts x 2 (instead of 60watts x2)

How different it feels now when you close the last door open, windows up? is it harder?
I've been thinking about this for months now, I don't have the SPL you have but still, I did a second chamber on top to block outside road noise, but still will be a leak (bass)

Right now I'm working on fitting some interior treatments for the windows while I'm in the lanes. According to the IASCA rules that I've gone through so far (I have the rulebook printed out, highlighter used), I cannot cover the front windshield. He he...It says NOTHING about the other widows...
Right now I'm running like 200 watts from the very old pioneer amp to the 10" Bachuka, will be 250 watts to the IDQ12.

That's why I made a second chamber, on the outside you can hear the Buzzing but not in the inside, and still benefit from the pressure valve, we'll see what happens with the IDQ12

Interior window treatment? looking forward to see this!

Derick

Gz!

Now we wanna see some pics of that ride at some competitions!

If you get a trophy, pics of YOU holding the trophy in front of your Yaris are MANDATORY.

Good luck!
