strut bolts
I recently removed the strut bolts to get at the steering knuckle. They were BEYOND difficult. The nuts appear extremely galled and do not fit back together to the bolts well at all.
Should I replace the parts? I would normally when they're this messed up. I assume I can't just use any high grade bolts that fits nicely? I believe the top one sets the camber, and the bottom one should pretty much be there to hold the parts together? No, I'm not doing my own alignment, but once I bolt everything back together, I'll need it safe so it can make it straight to the alignment shop. :) |

I would stick with the OEM ones.

Ordered at a US Toyota dealer. $3.79 per bolt, $1.17 per nut. Wish Canadian places charged prices like that. Paid $15 for an axle nut last week. :(
