Hi,
I have a 2011 yaris t spirit mutimode
I'm finding that it's struggling to change from 1st to 2nd gear and revs really high. When it does change the rest of the gears change smoothly. Also when going up hill my foot is to the floor and car won't go over 15mph till it finally manages to change gears.
Took it back to toyota as I've only had the car a month and they told me there's nothing wrong and to use manual gears up hill which I can't as passed in an automatic car and can't drive manual. Or to take my foot off the accelerater and that the car would automatically change which it doesn't.
Never had this with my last car which was a lot older and smaller.
Any ideas?

try not flooring it?

how steep is your hill? If you are trying to go up a 35% incline from a stop, you might want to take it slowly on that little engine.
