Alternate LED Hyperflashing Fix (2nd Gen. only)

Originally covered in this post, and in this post, here is another way to fix your rapid-flashing signal lights after changing 1 or more of them with LED bulbs.

It`s the easiest and fastest method, and should be used whenever possible.

1. First off, get yourself a special turn signal flasher made specifically for LED bulbs.

I got mine from here: http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/l...signal-flasher

2. Once you receive it, cut off the 2 tabs circled in the image below.

Here's a picture of how it should look like:

3. Next step, get in your car and remove the little storage cup in the lower left side of the steering wheel.

Then, locate and remove the OEM flasher relay. (circled blue in the picture below)

4. Put in the special LED relay, and you`re done. Put your little storage cup back and enjoy.

I have tried that before. Finally just gone back to halogen bulbs for flashers. The only reason is because the first flash takes about 1-2s before it starts flashing normally.

Really donno. It's true that your signal light will stay on for about 1/2 second before it'll start flashing, but that would be the only "issue" with using this unit.
I've also yet to hear any comments from law enforcement officials about it either.

Will this work on a 2009 Toyota Yaris 3 door?
