Hi Enviri ! thanks for posting that, did you feel a big difference between the old/new seats?

I tried to find an XD in a junk yard, but couldn't so far, I might have to be more creative, and maybe go with another model, I just can't drive like that anymore, I tried all kind of seat cushions, but some just make it worse....

Thanks

Have you searched Ebay?
I found after putting in my Katzkin leather interior that the seats are much more comfy.......
Perhaps you are just feeling that "polka dots pain" from that awful cloth:(

scion xd seats have all the same connections as yaris except one (passenger seatbelt latch, pic) but its a simple swap.

The seats are a very nice upgrade since i prefer a more upright position and better leg support. I added a layer of memory foam (VIP seat covers from japan) for more comfort.

I searched in my area, in mass they are 100$ each seat. In cali...it starts at 200 (roseville) to 300 (sun valley, san bernadino)/seat.

My brother has an '08 XD. Those seats are great. Firm and supportive with good side bolsters. Much sportier looking too. Plus no pansey ass polka dots!

With your condition, I would find the best car seat upholstery shop in town to customize new seat cushions . He will advise you to go sit in different car seats at the car dealer's lot, tell him what model and go from there. I imagine there are some unique materials such as gel, memory foam, etc. and lumbar sculpting techniques to get you comfortable. Worth checking into in my opinion. I know seats are very personal because I absolutely love the stock seats in my 2007 sedan(lucky me). Good luck in your endeavors to find a solution.
