!4" wheels?

I have 2008 and 2012 Yaris' and both have 15" tires, 185-60r15 and 175/65r15 respectively. In the owners manual for the 2008 they also mention a 14" tire and wheel. Would that be for the Canadian market only? Anyhow, I have 175/65r14 snow tires from my VW's that I was thinking of using on my Yaris'. I never see any 14" steel rims for sale in the used market. Where are they all? Hope this made sense. I think it's my first post on this forum.

14" wheels are standard on the 1.3 litre 2NZ-FE engined models here in Australia. The models with the 1.5 litre 1NZ-FE engine get 15 inch wheels.

For the third generation models, the standard tyre sizes here are 175/70R14 or 175/65R15. The second generation may have had different sizes. A number of VW models had the same wheel stud pattern and similar inset on the wheels. If this is what you have, they should fit.

The very base of the US Yaris in 2007 supposedly came with 14" wheels, but good luck actually finding one. I run 14" wheels and tires on my Yaris, they fit but the clearance is comically tight. Tire rack will let you buy them and they are insanely conservative with that type of stuff.

Canadian non-RS models has standard 14" Steel wheels with 175-65-14 tires from 2006 to halfway thru the 2008 model year when they switched to 15" steelies like the USA.

14's fit fine on 2008, I haven't kept up with it as much since selling my 2007 in 2013, but unless the calipers have changed, your 2012 should be ok too

I run 14" steel wheels on my Yaris for winter. They came from a Honda Civic. Fits fine.

My 2007 Yaris came with 14 inch steel wheels. Bought it in 2010, and immediately bought another set of 14 inch wheels with X-ice winter tires. When it came time to replace the stock all-seasons, Costco had exactly one type of tires for my Yaris. The price was good, and it lasted 6 seasons before picking up a nail and developing dry rot. Now it's time to buy all-seasons again. Canadian Tire near me only had Michelin Defender or MotoMaster AW2 in stock for my size. All else would need to be ordered. They do seem to have wheels in stock though. So it seems such wheel and tire sizes are not too difficult to find in Canada, yet.

Don't mean to thread jack, but had the similar question as OP.

Was wondering if Enkei RPF1 14x7 et28 or et19 mm would fit on 2012 yaris.

I was thinking either 185/60r14 or 195/60r14 for tire sizes. Thanks.

'Poke' means the wheels will stick out past the fenders.

For your 2012 Yaris:

OEM: 185/60/15, 15x5.5, ET45 (tyre diameter = 23.7")

RPF1: 185/65/14, 14x7, ET28 (tyre diameter = 23.5")

RPF1 wheel/tyre package will poke out 17 mm (0.7'') farther.

Thanks for the great info. 0.7" doesn't seem too bad then, I'm hoping it doesn't rub. I'll update once I get the wheels.

^^^ For your reference: I have 16x7, ET42, 205/50/16.

This wheel/tyre set-up pokes out 13mm (0.5'') farther, and I have absolutely no issues on my 2014.

So, with 17mm (0.7"), you should have no problems with 14x7, ET28, 185mm rubber.
