OK, who was it?

Wellington OPP officer Constable David O’Leary was patrolling Highway 6 at Wellington Street in Guelph Feb. 17 at about 10 p.m., when he saw a 2008 Toyota Yaris going northbound at 128 km/h in the 70km/h zone.
128km/h? impressive... isn't echo_hrs around Guelph? maybe he was testing out the supercharger?

Typical OPP dwelling on speeders only.
I wonder when the last time a "failure to signal" was written up? Not in this century.

OPP are traffic cops, nothing more. If they did the speed limit themselves on the 400 highways, they'd see more of what's going on instead of trying to pay attention so they don't rear end anyone while they 'cruise' along between 130-140km/h.

I wish they did pull people over for failing to signal!!! They do in some US states. I think the OPP is more worried about owners fighting the ticket as any owner can say that the light was found to have been burnt out. What the OPP need are in-car cameras for every cruiser. I'd gladly have my tax dollars go toward that (and the repair of pot holes) than anything else this year. This way the officers will be more willing to pull drivers over for the infractions knowing that they have video evidence to pin on the driver. It will also improve safety across the board as people will actually be more willing to adhere to local speed limits, not only when they see a cruiser parked along the side of the highway. Ah well.
