Airbag light on
So my 2007 with 178k miles now has the airbag light on. I have read old threads and often times the spiral cable is bad. My question is if the light is on is there any chance of the air bad deploying without a crash? I don't worry about not having it work

It would be more likely to not deploy when it should then the opposite. The only way the opposite would happen is if a short occurred where 12 volts is fed to the positive wire of the airbag squib.
