Question H4 Xenon bulbs

Just purchased H4 Xenon bulbs(5900)for my '09 Yaris HB. They are 90/100W. Can I just plug them in or do I need some sort of kit?

thats the first I've heard of melting the housing, but I'm new to adding any aftermarket parts to my vehicle so I'm still figuring this stuff out. As far as the HIDs I didn't want to get involved in that much cost and the relays and new wiring just looked cheap. And one more thing to go wrong.

most plug/play kits available today are of good quality and can be had for easily under $120 for a GOOD set.

and they don't need relays ... if you're looking at plug/play that has relays then you're looking at the wrong stuff.

either way, be careful with those bulbs... and if you're interested in HID's PM me, i have two very reliable suppliers that i see on a weekly basis and offer 1year warranties

"xenon" is a misleading term used in BLUE COATED, LUMENS FILTERING HALOGEN BULBS.

so.. pretty useless thing to me. Although, i had some fun the scrubbing off the blue coat and use them as high powered 4300k bulbs... pretty bright, but harness/housing beware :)

Another housing warning. That's good to know. I checked with a couple of places that advertise on this site and neither one said anything about problems with housing damage. Just possibly the harness. So what do you suggest I look at. I just want a brighter light that makes it easier for night driving. Thanks.

I too wondered about Garm's Nokya sets, if it would damage housing. But im sure he wouldnt sell something that would blind any Yaris. But i havent seen any before/after pics of bulb change.

of course not...they're trying to sell a product...why would they care once they're off the shelves if they cause you any damage? they wont pay for that either.

and...there's a reason that 55w/65w is what's legal. because anything brighter is a danger to on-coming traffic and the wiring system can handle 55w ONLY...no more. just stick with regular bulbs till you can afford the HID's...and like i said...i have a set i'm selling in the 6oook range. if you dont want that, then the on-site vendors have some ranging from 2500k all the way to 12000k from yellow to pink and green or whatever else you want. just remember, the close to 5000k you get the closer to sunlight you'll be getting and also the more light output.

How much, if you would at all, would it be to buy/ship to Canada?

Just checked on his website and he suggests also buying the Nokya Plug 'N Play harness for them.
