Hot Air Baloon Trip

My wife suprised me with a Hot Air Baloon trip for my birthday Sunday. It was the most fun I've ever had while being petrified with fear!

Has anyone else done this? I'll post some pics soon...

That's a dream of mine Soaring through the skies silently at the whim of the wind...

Most fun I've had while petrified with fear was bungee jumping

They fly balloons very near my home a few times each year and I think the thing that strikes me the most is silence. They are so serene from the ground. I assume that other then the burner it must be a peaceful ride?

We took off from behind a Golden Corral, in front of a Pepsi Plant in Charlottesville, VA. We landed in some lady's field who once owned the Boar's Head Inn.

Ha, ha I live right across the mountain. If you would have crossed the BRP you would have been looking down on my roof. Did y'all eat at the Boar's Head after the ride?

Nope, but I did have a 7&7 just before to trip to take the edge off. Heavy on the Seagrams! We ate back in Richmond. We forgot that it was 11:00PM on a Sunday night and everything was closed or closing! We ate at Sheets! Just before midnight on my birthday... Sheets... We had Philly cheesesteaks and they were excellent.

Hey man, Sheetz is the place for food! Well, at least that is what the billboard down the road says.
