Got a Yaris and want some rims... help for a new guy please.

Alrighty, I just got my Yaris about 2 weeks ago (traded the '99 Ranger in I've had since I was 16 in on the cash for clunkers program). I love the car but want to dress it up a bit. I've always liked the rims below, but to be honest I know almost nothing about cars other than how to drive them and play with audio equipment. I looked at the official wheel thread and it looked to me like a math book exploded. If somebody could recommend a rim for my Yaris that is the same as or looks very similar to the one below, that would freaking be amazing. My Yaris is a 2009 AT Sedan.

Thanks!

You need 4 x 100 bolt pattern. The one you have up there is 5 bolts, erego won't fit.

See I don't even know what a 4x100 bolt pattern means. I'm a straight-up n00b in cars man. I gather that the 4 means 4 bolts, since you said the rim in the picture has 5. If you know of a rim that looks similar to the one above and has 4 bolts, I'd like to have a look at it!

Thanks for the reply anyway, at least I'm one step closer haha.

The OP is looking for suggestions as to styles similar to the one pictured, ergo, the pictured style can be found from many sources. Start at www.discounttiredirect.com. It depends on the size of wheel you would like as well. BBS does make the style you like in the picture in a 4x100 option, just depends on how much you want to spend too.

Here is a style from Drag that is about $95 US) for 15".

But like I said, you have many options with that style and size. You have to shop around and get what fits your budget. Good luck.

Have you checked the tirerak site?

You just specify your ride and they will show you options that will fit your car.

The most common wheel size for the Yaris is 15" (that's a 15 inch diameter wheel) and that is the same as the Original equipped wheels.

You can go for upsize wheels like 16" or 17".

You need to concider that the largest the wheel, the skinniest the tire you will use on it... You have to define your priorities as with wheels there are always compromises...

A 17" with 205/40/17 tire will look really good on a Yaris but you will also lost some confort.

Keep reading... it looks like math the first time but is really simple.

If you go to the tirerack page they have tutorials explaning what the different measurments are...

Enjoy your reading

Hopefully this can help you! It's a 16'' Konig Supermesh wheel that will fit your car. You can find these and many other wheels at http://jlbmotorsports.com

Mmm, not ALL Konigs are light.

TSW Kyalamis... a little more respectable than Konigs, similar design, and one of my favorite wheels just because of the clean center cap.

Thanks a lot for the help and suggestions guys! I think I'll enjoy this forum :) It looks like I have a good bit of options to choose from, all these different sites and such, but that's a good thing :D

Thanks again, I'll definitely put up some pictures of what I decide to get!

These look pretty nice I think. Pretty expensive (In my book anyway) so it may be a while. Anybody know if that brand is any good? Also...if I go to a 16" am I going to have to recalibrate the speedometer or anything like that?

Thanks for the patience with a huge flaming n00b.

nice wheel, decent price. don't worry about the speedometer, I personally like the Konig Supermesh, the TSW are sweet also (1st time seeing those wheels) you are on the right track 47 but of course if you get wheels then you have to lower your car, its a never ending cycle... lol

I'm a fan of 5Zigen Sport Engines myself:

Though I don't think they make them any smaller than 18", but they have them in 4x100

BTW that new shade of blue for the sedan looks great, nice choice!

those wheels look yummy... I'm thinking about going with a look like this too, but you need that dish

I think 17x8 +25, with 10mm spacers in the rear, would be a great mesh wheel on the yaris

Wheels / Rims Options

I've been looking for some wheels for my Yaris as well.

I would like 16" though.

What I've been doing is saving any pictures of rims that have features that I like and uploading them to my Flickr account. Check 'em out.

Different options for wheels
