Rear hatch strut problem
Well this just happened, opened my rear hatch to put my work uniform inside, when I closed the hatch door I heard something popped inside.
I reopened it and noticed that were the strut connects to was loose(the black plastic piece was already loose when I got the car) now it looks like this...thought it was only the gas strut but now it looks like it has to welded back on? Anyone else run into this problem?? |

I've been trying with all the obvious keywords I can think of with no luck. Pretty sure it was this forum, not MI.

Coincidence that the other occurrence was also a red hatch...

Since there are already holes.. I would drill the bracket and bolt it on.
