Broken Camchain
Hi all,
My nephew has a 2001 Vitz 2NZ-FE engine with 130K kms. The oil light has been flickering on and off. Anyway, the camchain has just broken. Before going any further, we need to know if this is a clearance engine I.e. valves don't touch the pistons even at TDC. |

intake side have big pockets on piston, so they will survive. Exhaust valves dont have enough room, put if lucky cam can stop place where no valves are fully open.
